Welcome to my new blog page.  Let me first introduce myself.  I go by name of The Common Sense Professor because I have been teaching Engineering Technology in Higher Education for almost 8 years.  During that time I have come to realize that knowledge and common sense do not always go hand in hand.  I have met many PhD's that are extremely smart, but do not have enough sense to apply the theories that they teach in class everyday.  I have always had a high level of application skills, which I believe relates directly to common sense.

In my blog I will share common sense ideas related to education, the environment, money saving ideas as well as reviews of products that can save you and your family money.  Most of my blogs will be reviews of products so you can make wise online purchases, but I will throw in a few other posts just to keep things interested.  I will have my family join me from time to time, especially my two boys.  My theme is "If it doesn't save you money, then it doesn't make $ense!!".
